Today, we walk in the footprints of our ancestors, elders and ‘old people’, overlooking the vast and awe-inspiring fabric of Butchulla Country – our home, our legacy, our responsibility. As the General Manager of BNTAC (Butchulla Native Title Aboriginal Corporation), I am honoured to share with you the extraordinary journey we have undertaken, guided by our heritage and committed to a brighter, more harmonious future.
Our story is one of resilience and unwavering dedication, a sign of the strength of our people and the timeless connection to this remarkable land, sea, and sky. We have come a long way, overcoming challenges that have only reinforced our resolve. Through the years since its inception in 2019, BNTAC has evolved, expanding our initiatives and deepening our commitment to the Butchulla community, the broader society, and the generations yet to come. We have walked this journey together, weaving a tapestry of accomplishments that is a source of immense pride. From cultural preservation to environmental custodianship, together with a clear focus community development to economic empowerment, we have left no stone unturned in our pursuit of a better future for all.
