In line with our commitment to the wellbeing of Butchulla Country and its vital elements, we have taken a significant step in custodianship of our land, seas and sky. In 2023, BNTAC formally recognised the importance of nurturing our ancestral lands and engaged the Butchulla community, along with our Elders, and an external consultant to design and develop the BNTAC Strategic Plan 2023-2028.

This comprehensive document captures the Butchulla vision for a thriving and spiritually connected Country (land, sea and sky).

To us, every aspect of Butchulla Country holds profound cultural and spiritual significance, from the flora, fauna, and landscapes to the fresh and salt waters that intertwine with our liking heritage. This place is home to our people … and it lives within us all.
