BNTAC’s governance structures include a Board which can consist of up to ten Butchulla Directors.

BNTAC’s board of directors are dedicated advocates who ensure we all work towards meeting our vision, business activity statement (mission) and values.

The BNTAC Board is supported by BNTAC’s team of dedicated staff to get the best outcomes for the Butchulla community.

Aunty Lil is a distinguished leader with a remarkable record of service and recognition. Having served as President for two decades at Cooloola Aboriginal Services (CASI), she has been honoured with an Honorary Senior Fellowship from the University of the Sunshine Coast and Gympie. A finalist for the Australia Day recipient award, Aunty Lil’s dedication to her community earned her the Lifetime Contribution to Volunteering Award in Brisbane, as well as the Senior Citizens Award in Gympie. Aunty Lil’s accomplishments also extend to cultural and community activities, as she led the Cherbourg Marching Girls to a remarkable second-place victory in Queensland. Her remarkable journey is exemplified in her participation in the ABC Women at Work video, showcasing her tireless commitment to her people and her community.

Shawn Wondunna-Foley, is a senior Butchulla (Badtjala) man, who has a strong commitment to preserving our cultural heritage, community empowerment and environmental conservation. With 30 years of experience in state government contract management and various professional projects, he is a dedicated contemporary First Nations leader, writer, artist, creator and philanthropist. As a senior Butchulla cultural custodian, he shares the beauty, love, respect and significance of Butchulla culture on Country. Through a mindful and spiritual approach, he creates prosperity, abundance and opportunities for the community and advocates for cultural protocols that contribute to guide and shape environmental conservation, all in the pursuit of a brighter future for the Butchulla people and our Country (land, sea, and sky).
