Dear BNTAC Members,
I hope this letter/email finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to share some exciting news and extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support.

After careful consideration and a rigorous selection process, we are thrilled to announce that Lesley Barney has been selected as the successful applicant for an important project here at Butchulla Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (BNTAC). Lesley’s exceptional qualifications, experience, and alignment with our project’s goals have made her the ideal candidate to lead this project.

Lesley’s systematic approach and demonstrated capabilities assure us that she will make a significant contribution to the success of this Policy and Procedures Project. We are confident that her expertise will help us achieve our business activity statement (mission) of protecting and upholding the rights of the Butchulla people on Country (land, sea and sky).

To kickstart this exciting collaboration off, we held a planning meeting with Lesley on Monday 16, October 2023. During this meeting, we discussed project details, resources, timelines, information gathering, workshop, work strategies, and the process for the completion of the project. Commencing the project in a timely manner is of utmost importance to us, and we are eager to get started.

We are genuinely excited about the opportunity to work closely with Lesley and believe that our collaboration will be mutually beneficial, resulting in a successful outcome for BNTAC.

Once again, congratulations to Lesley on being selected for this project. Your dedication and experience are invaluable to us, and we look forward to taking the next steps toward a productive partnership.

Thank you all for your continued support here at BNTAC, and we anticipate a successful and impactful collaboration with Lesley. Stay tuned for more information and updates about the outcome of this project over the coming months.

Warm regards,
Veronica Bird, General Manager, BNTAC – Butchulla Native Title Aboriginal Corporation
